March Madness {not basketball}, Dr. Seuss, and Leap Day Sale!

I feel like I haven't taught anything since Valentine's Day! This is how last week went: Monday - holiday, Tuesday - snow day (first one this year!! nice surprise), Wednesday - get kids back into routine, Thursday - do some work, Friday - divisonal P.D.... *sigh* I love two day weeks, but with dreaded report cards coming up in a few weeks, I need more time with my kiddos!!

So, I have TWO brand new items up in my TpT store! I just finished up my March Madness Math Centers. There are 9 new stations that cover math skills such as counting on, months of the year, addition, subtraction, counting tally marks, sums of ten, graphing, patterns, and division. Click the picture to visit my TpT store! {But wait until midnight tonight (central time) for a 24-hour Leap Day sale!}

Here is a little preview of the centers included in the pack:

The other item is a Seuss-tastic Activity Pack. In Canada, we don't have Read Across America with Dr. Seuss as you do, but we do enjoy celebrating his birthday on March 2nd! I will be conducting an author study on Dr. Seuss all month long, until Spring Break!

Included in the packet are directions and patterns for a cute Cat in the Hat craftivity (which I will be using as the cover of our Dr. Seuss books), an All About Dr. Seuss page, 20 literature response pages, 5 math activity sheets, and a write up page for your favorite Dr. Seuss book! Click the picture to go to my TpT store to see a full list of all the books that I cover with my literacy and math pages. {Don't forget the 24-hour Leap Day sale!}

Here is a picture of our Dr. Seuss books with the Cat in the Hat cover. Inside the books are a literacy or math activity to go with each book we will read during the month of March.

I also plan to have a fun "Seuss Week" the last week before Spring Break. On Monday we will wear our favourite hats, we will read "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins", and we will write descriptive sentences about our hats. On Tuesday we will dress all in our favourite colour, we will read "My Many Colored Days", and we will write about how the colour makes us feel. On Wednesday we will not brush our hair, we will make our hair WACKY!!, we will read "Wacky Wednesday", and we will write a sequential story (beginning, middle, end) about wacky events! On Thursday we will wear our craziest socks, we will read "The Foot Book" and "Fox in Socks", and we will trace our feet and measure them. And to end the week, on Friday we will wear our pajamas, we will read "Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book", we will write about what we do to fall asleep, and we will have some popcorn while watching a Dr. Seuss cartoon (Horton Hears a Who!, Daisy-Head Mayzie, or the Lorax... not sure which one yet!) I think it will be a fun way to end the term and get ready for a relaxing Spring Break. (Florida, here I come!! 25 days and counting...)

Now lastly, don't forget to go over and see Reagan over at Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits is hosting a GIANT linky party to see who is having Leap Day sales! {Besides me of course!} Last time I check there were 170+ bloggers hosting sales! That is a lot of stores to check out!!

So, with 20% off from me and 10% off from TpT, you will save 30% on all products in my TpT store! I also have some freebies if you haven't checked out my store yet! Thanks so much for stopping in!

Happy selling and buying, everyone!
