So Monday was my first day back and I COULD NOT believe it... my normally crazy bunch of coconuts were more quiet and well behaved than they had been any other day of the year! It was such a nice way to start the week! Of course, now they're kind of getting back into routine and the little trouble makers are starting up again, but I'd still say it's a nice change from December! I'm liking it so far!
We started off the week by doing some New Year's activities. We read the book:
Then we wrote our own resolutions and made these cute little party faces! They loved playing with the "blowing things" {is there a real name for these?? They don't make noise, so I can't call them noisemakers... hmmm... } The faces turned out super cute. We used scrapbook paper for the hats and pompoms on top!
My New Year's resolution is to learn how to swim.
My New Year's resolution is getting smarter. *cute*
The weekend is almost here folks -- two more days!! Enjoy! :)
I just posted the same book and New Year's activity! Yours turned out really cute. Unfortunately, my blower things DID make noise. The first time they blew the blowers, I was like, "That's nice." After that I was like, "OMG stop!!!!!!" Haha!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous Multiagers!
We did this too. But I like that you did scrap paper hats and pom poms. Too cute. I'll try that next year. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteDee, unfortunately no snow day today... but it was so cold that we had indoor recess all day. Yay! *insert sarcastic grumbled remark here* :) Brrrrr, it was COLD! Oh well, tomorrow is Friday! Yipee!
